When the full moon comes the transformation takes hold I become again under a terrible sign Speed and strength I show, senses keen and sharp Smells and sounds will lead me to them, as I race through the dark My wounds heal in the blink of an eye My foes die in horror and anguish Only once a lunar cycle do I get to kill Under the full moon, I taste fresh blood again The man who is me does not know I am here He suspects something terrible, but has no idea For once the metamorphosis takes its control He disappears into nowhere and my rampage begins again The howling will spell your destruction Out of the dark I come to viciously lay waste Sluggish fools scramble for weapons too late Their lives end in ripping flesh and blood spray We don’t keep a history in my kind The first so long ago, there is no word for them It is a wonder humankind survived this long And that under the moon shine, their fate was not cut short The foolish hunters riding out for me with guns With silver bullets, but they’ll never hit me with one I can smell them miles away, and I doubled back And so the slayers become the slain, screaming in the dark The howling will spell your destruction Out of the dark I come to viciously lay waste Sluggish fools scramble for weapons too late Their lives end in ripping flesh and blood spray
