A long time ago In the woods of Chapel Hill Young love blossomed And burned with flames of lust Not far from the castle On the stargazing rock Turned from love Into darkest deception Her eyes in forest light Under the trees so low I lost myself to her I can never be without As with all good things It must come to an end And on the wind The whisper of betrayal And through a false friend Stabbing through deepest pain How could he think My love for her so trivial And so he’s met my challenge To duel with seconds to witness I so wanted revenge But it’s gone so wrong The bullet ripped my chest I died with no Christian burial And my friends I trusted My body did conceal Now upon the stargazing rock My love comes to wait And when I never show She lies and weeps But she will never know Under the ground beneath it My body lies And I can never leave
