The Devourer of Worlds

Blood soaked legacy of billions of lives Ancient atrocities buried by time Powerful magic locked away The bindings have weakened, time grows short A false ritual to give false hope An empty rite to keep it at bay But hidden under the decaying shrine Only one chain left holds the beast Fire and death await The destroyer of worlds will awake Our world will burn and die Under his crimson eye Discovered by accident through a door to another world The shrine and it's pillars to keep the destroyer held And so they sacrifice and say the words Thinking doing so will buy them more years But the chain will break, the ground will quake And existence as we know it will end
