The echoes of my thoughts almost as loud as my footsteps Preoccupied by despair, desperation turned within The last moments I can remember, now fading into the dark Captive by linear descent into madness, there is no escape Boundaries of interaction gone, language has no meaning The bleakness of the eternal horizon, gray into the black Solitude, the old familiar prison cell I know Emptiness, the cold stone walls, echoing my infernal footsteps Oblivion, come to me Piercing the veil of human perception Lucifer, angel of light Guide my feet along my path Disassociation from the physical world increases Time moves so much stranger looking from the outside Demons move within the shadows, but there are no gods Just the darkness, and the unending cold
