Into the Cold

One dark night, out in the wilds of the mountains Under a clear sky, the stars seemed so bright Led from the safety of warmth into the cold night To seek the knowledge craved by my obsession And when my eyes fell upon her form My pulse pounding in my ears above the wind The eyes of ice blue, the skin too white A demon of the ice come calling She led me through ruins never seen by human eyes Down ancient corridors, in halls made of ice And all the time following, cast under her spell Further into the depths we go, deeper underground There is no language for the being that I found myself before The beautiful woman just a specter used to lure me in Into my mind it invaded, but it showed me such things Visions of far off worlds and beasts so terrible to behold
