The snow thick on the ground The forest vast and unknown The wind howling through the trees The wolves howl through the storm The ancient evil ones emerge When there’s no trace of light In the screaming winter In blackest night My people born into frost Our wilderness deadly From children we’re taught To be quick or be dead But still sometimes in the darkness A hand reaches out and grabs And those that they take never return
