Mayhem - Watchers (Aerik Von Remaster) (Official Releases)
In 2014 Mayhem released a new album that I was rather excited for in “Esoteric Warfare” and while the songs were incredible I found it very difficult to enjoy some elements of the album due it having a far “thinner” and “colder” sound than I typically prefer… I was working on One East studios in Manhattan and when the rest of the crew was off doing other things I took the time to remaster the record using analog compression and transferring back to digital format to create a final production sound that gave these great songs the analog depth and “heaviness” I heard in my head. To this day my version of the master is the one I listen to personally and I have never shared it with anyone. Out of respect to the band this is the only track I will post but after some discussion with friends it seemed like a worthy moment to share as it is the only record I made my own version of for personal listening.
