Deep Purple performing 'Mandrake Root' live at the International Pop And Blues Festival on 11 October 1969 at the Grugahalle in Essen, Germany. The newly formed Mark II line up with Ian Gillan on vocals - this clip was one of the first film recordings of Mark II live and features and amazing drawn out Organ solo from Jon Lord over the top of Ian Paice's extraordinary jazz drumming.
