📅🕯️ THE CURSED CALENDAR 🕯️ February 2 – Candlemas 🇬🇧 It is a celebration marking the transition toward the change of seasons, falling halfway between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. In esoteric and pagan traditions, Candlemas celebrates the arrival of LIGHT, purification, rebirth, and fertility. In the Catholic tradition, it is known as the Feast of the Candles and includes the blessing of candles in churches, commemorating the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple of Jerusalem. It was established to replace earlier pagan celebrations such as Imbolc, in Celtic regions, or Februa, a festival dedicated to Juno, both tied to the lunar cycle around February 2 and symbolizing the beginning of the end of winter. Nella tradizione esoterica e pagana rappresenta la celebrazione dell’arrivo della LUCE, della purificazione, della rinascita e della fertilità. Per i cattolici è conosciuta come la Festa delle Candele e prevede la benedizione di ceri e candele nelle chiese, in ricordo della Presentazione di Gesù al Tempio di Gerusalemme. Fu istituita per sostituire antiche celebrazioni pagane come Imbolc, nelle aree celtiche, o le Februa, festività dedicate a Giunone, legate alla lunazione intorno al 2 febbraio e simbolo dell’inizio della fine dell’inverno.
