Vanishing

I drift away like smoke in air, A shadow lost, no trace to bear. With every breath, I fade from sight, Into the void, no wrong, no right A whisper soft, a fleeting sound, A ghostly echo, unbound, unfound. I walk alone, no mark, no scar, A fading star, a lost memoir. Vanishing, fading, slipping away, The grisp of life begins to fray. In hollow silence, I descend, Into the dark, where all things end. No light remains, no path to tread, Just empty space where dreams have bled. I am no more, a breath, a trace, Vanishing, without a place. Vanishing, fading, lost to night, Dissolved in dark, without a fight. In endless silence, I reside, In vanishing, I am denied.
