The Ways of Old

It has been too long Since we’ve harkened to the ways of old Traditions of the past Have been lost to the ages Practices no longer relevant Through the eyes common people Blinded by the traditions Of false deity worship They pray to those above Yet the gifts we receive Comes from the land Of which we walk upon We provide for our own We look out for our own And it has been that way For many generations We’ve taken from the earth And given back what’s taken A cycle that’s been practiced Since before the creation of time It has been too long Since we’ve harkened to the ways of old Traditions of the past Have been lost to the ages Practices now seen blasphemous Through the eyes our oppressors Blinded by the lust for power Over what’s to be worshiped
