The Student

I am the shepherd and you are the sheep I am the lord and you are the slave I am the god and you are the servant I am the teacher, you are the student And this is the results of your final exam On your knees you came crawling to me And begged that if I could be teaching ye Now you hear and hear but you refuse to listen All the while you lock your mind in a prison Rather walk in front through life alone Than walk next to the student like a sheep Rather walk in darkness and live Than walk in light into eternal sleep Rather walk in front through the world without others Than being pulled through hell again and again and again and again Rather walk in front through life alone as shepherd Than only have a sheep to call my friend You cannot see, neither can you understand Can you not think then you must walk Can you not walk then crawl you must In silence, no whispers, no cries, no talk You cannot understand your surroundings might You alone are the cause of my spite You let your mind become weakened by safety And then expects your life to show you mercy Unlike you, I see power inside You only see your worth on the outside But oh, there is nothing as you are nothing at all And it is only your fault as you are causing your downfall The people around you are the poison in your blood The pain in your body and the voices in your head I will much rather stand alone and loose Than act like a lunatic on the loose I hear your cry but your tears are null It is you who cut you with a blade so dull See my eyes I am crying for thee I cry because you’ve disappointed me You didn’t understand that there was nothing I could do There was no way I could save your soul without you You crave and you want but you refuse to give You didn’t allow your brain to live Only you can resurrect it but it is too late I only have this much time and I can no longer wait I gave you all but you placed your soul on the shelf I gave you a life but you killed yourself
