Blame laid on concepts you've yet to comprehend, Self-styled rebels, futile in your trend. Your not renegades, when all you do is echo your age Recycling actions, you're trapped within the cage of your age The only escape is the old that you spitefully hate Degrading humanity with the same thing in a new case Fooled by the toxicity of falsity Question all but your own thinking Narrow minds are easily convinced their open Loving the same thing in different casings, doesn’t make you open minded Pouring old wine into new wineskins Your ideas have lost their essence Draw the battle lines, this is where I make a stand Scorn the old books that you’ve never read Maybe if you took the time to understand them You’d know the difference between a conformist, and a deviant We’re the rebellion! I will never be, part of your self eating society Eating the foundations, bursting at the seems I refuse to be, locked in a cage Thinking the same way, part of the hive No!
