The Night's Cavalry

When the sun hides away And the pale moon has risen Funereal winds are blown Carrying the stench of death Within the fog of night Distant neighing is heard Along with sounds of clopping They become louder overtime As the fog dissipates Ebony clad riders appear Bearing no face to be seen On a black cloaked steed Carrying at their side A halberd soaked in blood Baring only one purpose To be a deliverer of death eyes on their target no chance of escape a fixation to kill they never hesitate Striking fear into all those Who roam the lands at night For they show no remorse To those who they see Riding with such speed and agility Never surrendering to anyone They are the night’s cavalry Executing all who oppose them
