The natural world is a world of war And the natural law is tooth and claw Nature is cruel and merciless To man and beast alike Nature is unforgiving and uncaring To the whims of human delight The darkness within it calls to us The power to create and destroy The hubris of mankind our folly All it takes is one immense cataclysm To send us into extinction One torrential storm to flood the land One celestial event to cast down fire One great wave to wash away our curse One dry spell to steal what we thirst The natural law Holds dominion here The natural world is a world of war And the natural law is tooth and claw
