Here we go again the siren song that never ends I can’t sit alone nor idle for a second If I do she’ll get inside my head Doom scrolling on the internet, what am I doing? Can’t catch a break, can’t escape The Lay of Lilith! What will it take, how shall I slay this shadow song in me? Everywhere I go I can’t escape her song, How am I supposed to turn away, why do I even listen in the first place? Such enticing beauty, so constantly, so easy to find! It's a death trap, a detailed map to destruction quickly Can’t look away, when I hear her sing It’s like a blank slate ever swiping in my brain Wiping all memory except her beautiful song I can’t help myself when I hear that voice Calling out to me, the toxicity of the feeling She gives to me, oh the falsity “I want you, I need you, come to me and I’ll feed you love and never leave you wanting.” I’m so ashamed to reveal these things to you who are listening, from a young age these things found root in me! Even the great heroes of old, fell as one stupid, before false beauty No strength can resist, so how do I beat this?
