The Land of Shadow

Ancient gravestones are scattered amongst the plains A remembrance of a time that once was Their spirits heard soaring in the winds of desolation Followed by the unsettling howls of sorrow The skies above are nothing but shadow Looming over all the lands far below There's no sun and there's no darkness only the existence of twilight remains Those who remain wandering the vast lands Are nothing but shadows of their former selves Stuck between the realm of the living and dead With no guarantee of their release They stay forever in this purgatory With no one to answer to their pleas Hoping one day a savior to come To end their endless cycle of misery The skies above are nothing but shadow Looming over all the lands far below There's no sun and there's no darkness only the existence of twilight remains
