The Fading of the Need-Fires

The sky ushered forth a yellowish hue Bringing on nights haze of shadows A dark wind grows in the west Bringing closer to a village so vibrant The hordes of rats so guided By vile shadows which take the shape Of a wraithly animation of necrotic hunger The undead, vampire, nightly one Spells of plague and pestilence Invoked in its blackened blood, Passed into the fleas and vermin Which follow. From the forests they crawl Invading the village from western lands Black death remains nourish my skeletal corpse, necrotic hunger for warm living blood. Veins feed this vampyric shell to flush my visage with life. The black death clings to my ravenous shadow, clawing at your windows The blood is plague-infected pitch flowing in necrotic veins... The need fires are fading, failing in darkness... The need fires are consumed in darkest night, fangs grow long to kiss warm flesh...
