Living for something Beyond me I know theres something more than this Emptiness that the world promises I'm holding on to something of a different world One that cannot yet be seen I can't turn another way I seemed to always fall for something dark Left me against the light I'm not living in the memory Of what I was and like to go into the light And I get tired of the waiting dark Maybe it's time I heal from all the scars Maybe it's time I turn the tide Maybe it's time that we wake up to find Something greater than ourselves Light, Jesus is King Lord of Glory Save me from the darkness Of the world It's been a long time since I've said the words yes, Lord Now I confide in the Father of light Jesus is returning What a time in redemptive history I'm not below or above you all As a man I'm prone to fall But I know where I stand This cross may be hated by the world This cross may be hated by the world But it's one I'll bear if it means to do what's right To spread some light Light of the world Holy of holies Aren't you tired of the same old tune Repeating in anger frustration It all leads to death What we say What we speak has effect, so Choose your words carefully And taste and see that the Lord is good Hear always right here The Lord is come Light of the world No more darkness I will choose this day
