The Confessor's Tale

Time has now told- tel Megiddo's fall unfolds A world with an end- A feeling unable to comprehend Paradise is lost- Eden and heaven, ashes and dust Babylon decomposes- The microcosm, like withering roses I, clairvoyant, have seen- ascension and falls before me In the crystal ball- I see the knell, it calls Forgotten realms open wide- auric Monuments will die Prophecies spoke of the master's spawn- born from womb of witch in dawn Black clouds surround the sky- obscure fog blinding the eyes Gehenna, to ashes, erodes- skin of the Tetragrammaton corrodes Vitriol and Aqua Regia rain- your hair and flesh burning away The cries of trauma louden- the gates of darkness will open The tale of Sodom amends- God will fall with heaven Enochian symphonies silenced- thy Angel and devil's distress Porcelain gaze at the pearly gates- watch them crumble and decimate Portrait of the polyptych fleets- Christ scorns his defeat All the earth wilts like the flowers- even Mort must succumb to the final hour Doth pass Three days and nights- but no different they are, to our sight Sadness and sorrow- joy through the morrow No longer differ to us- nor the silence and it's lust Purgatory, hell and heaven- amalgamate by day seven Words of poets fade away- yet like Echo, their words still resonate The storm never seems to cease- snowfall of sulphur and pain, a plague, a disease Nihilism rapes the last of the sky -and this omen dies, of the confessor, I. I taste the blood, the tears The bloody tears that have fallen through wasted years Bitterest wine, forged by time The land I once adored... I could feel the pain and anguish Yet my mind failed to save me from all languish My wounds open wide As the sun soon dies And dusk blankets her child Angel, devil, and man All of one mind, to die in sand Fortress of isolation, I only see desolation The world I knew shall perish Accursed crucifix, behold thy tale Your fall far from grander than plebeian ale Await and see, what you shall be Death with your false master (Christ) Aggression and affection flying free To another world? I cannot tell nor see Reality and dream, neither what I believed Lie anymore true before me Make me faint, tired eyes I wish to see not, what in the future, lies... And as I collapse, I shall bereave The fate that has been bestowed before me My mind cannot bear the unending atrocities The burning and destruction of cities And towns and hamlets, too, shall meet death Groping futilely, as they fall, onto her breast How bittersweet shall they fall To the tune of the savage trumpets' call Torn our foes, acquiesced our woes Yet no taste of tomorrow And I shall join them all in sleep A banquet, our last feast Judgement and mercy, wrath and camaraderie No more shall ever be... Apathy is all that remains of me As with the sky, the earth, the sea I close my eyes and suffer in my dreams I greet death, I am at peace. Don't weep for me, I couldn't for thee Love is dead, and on Charon's sail, our souls meet I am yours to bear, through the Flames' glare Deaf ears still heard more My tale shall end, this play I've written The whores amongst the halls once golden Temptation stabbed my heart and let me die So leave me be, the firmament that has cursed my life.
