Straight Towards the Red River

I walk the path where shadows bleed A cold wind whispers, my heart concedes The river calls with silent cries It stains the earth beneath dark skies No turning back, the end is near I feel the weight, the growing fear Stright towards the red, I move alone A journey made to claim my own The earth is cracked, the waters rise A river born of blood and lies The red tide churns beneath the moon Its heavy flow will come too soon I feel the pull, it drags me in To where the silence waits within The river's rage will drown the light And swallow all that's left in night Stright towards the red, I close my eyes The river waits where darkness lies The waves crash loud, they pull me deep Into the dark, where none shall sleep I've walked too far, no place to stand The red river calls with icy hand Stright towards the end, the final sin Where light is lost and death begins
