Shed This Former Coil

I should have saw the signs When it told me to run away I was blinded by my own empathy I cannot light myself a better cave My empathy must only be for those who been with me I will not let myself become what I hate The thing that mirrors the past is being Laid to rest today I can't cancel out what transpired I've only got myself to blame It's madness And it left me feeling hollow (hollow) The hate. I can't endure As I shed this former coll I should have thought about it all Before becoming so consumed I will not let myself become tapped out By the deficit and urging them all They seem to leech upon me But I must rise again and persevere Recognize The lessons life has taught And remember blessings. I can't undo the past So I have to let it go I know the pain wont last I must undo and shed this former coll I'll shed this former coil again I must admit The fear led me to this But I can't lay down and die I must break free from the things that haunt me Cause I'll never find my way Unless I face myself and rise Rise again I have a chance To make amends with yesterday I needed nothing and no need for it anymore. The pain is not serving me so I must cut it out of me It's like a cancer I can not contain It's only sickening me and adding to my pain. (Break the ties I'm tired of the pain) I can't let go of what remains In spite of what i had to face Set me free from this mortal shell Forgive and break out of this hell I need to let go of these things The trauma cannot hurt me anymore. We're safe here My inner child can rest here.
