I saw the glory of God, not on the mountaintop but in the deepest valley, shrouded in darkness a man crying out for wisdom show me the escape, deliver me! No! This is not an escape, it's a journey You must choose, will you wallow or embrace the pain Embrace the journey! There is a truth to be found in this dark place It is painful, but it must be embraced When you only seek escape, you prolong your suffering Focused on what's behind you, knowing not where you're going Destinations are but a moment, the entirety of life is a journey Why is there pain? Why is there suffering? We are asking the wrong questions Who are we to accuse God When we drown in the consequences of our actions? We reap what we sew and we blame God Still, he meets us in darkness, like iron, he refines us in the fire Then I saw the man stand up Renewed in strength, he became more than he was With fire in his eyes, he faced the storm raging ahead Face the storm, face the pain Stop trying to escape, you prolong your suffering Storms will rage, you must continue your journey I saw the glory of God, not on the mountaintop but in the deepest valley shrouded in darkness a man covered in mud and blood stand back up in the strength of God and scream from the top of his lungs Send the storm! Nothing worth doing will ever be easy this is the glory of the valley this is the glory of God Almighty to use intended evil and create something beautiful the cross, the greatest suffering, now a symbol of endless love I saw the glory of God Not on the mountaintop But in the deepest valley of Death!
