Paralysed by the biting breath of flame Traversal of this paradise of pain Deserted realms untouched by civilisation The barren pinnacle of isolation Victim to the sands of time They wait for no man Each of us lost in this paradigm Each a grain of sand Eating us alive from the inside out The relentless marching of the ants The cosmos takes no prisoner But the father still recants The hopeless tune of an endless strum The forsaken beat of an endless drum The fibers of my being tanned The leather of the damned The silken road of travellers lost Wanders of destiny Erosion of our inhabited flesh Making husks of mortality Victim to the sands of time They wait for no man Each of us lost in this paradigm And each of us a grain of sand
