The clouds hang heavy with the weight of rot A sickened haze where the sun is caught The air is thick with the stench of decay A world once bright now fades away The rain drips down like liquid disease Soaking the earth with a stagnant breeze The wind whispers in a lifeless tone A sky consumed where light has flown The stars are lost behind a veil of gloom A dying breath from a world entombed The ground is cracked beneath poisoned air No voices left no souls to bear The horizon bleeds in a withered hue The heavens break yet nothing is new The storm rolls on in a hollow cry A funeral march for a mouldy sky
