Everyone works so hard to get book smart and stay in shape We just love pretending like we're on the West Coast Ignore all those homeless people who get bussed in daily We're doing our best to get rid of them like everywhere else All the folks in our town are against the war But we'll keep paying for it with a smile an a salute Bumper stickers help people understand our viewpoint It's not polite to open up and say it to someones face Lets all do our best to be politically correct Just make a a phone call to Seattle to find out what that means today The environment is so important to our whole community Us liberals made sure the conservatives couldn't destroy it Our water supply may be owned by a corporation these days And our air may be dirtier than before But we recycle our soda cans and old newspapers It feels so great to be part of the solution and not the problem A pat on the back for everyone, hold your nose up high At least we know how to live the right way Unlike all those uneducated hicks in the rest of the state
