I stand upon this crumbling height The wind howls cold through endless night Below me lies the world I've known A barren land, where hope has flown The path I've walked is paved with stone The weight of years, I've walked alone Now all I see is endless grey A fading light, the end of day The mountain whispers in my ear A distant voice, now laced with fear I turn my gaze to endless skies Where all my dreams begin to die The winds are cruel, the clouds are thick The world below feels far too quick I brace myself, the fall awaits For what I've lost, for twisted fates
