Kill All the Danes

Old England was devastated Wild vikings stormed the towns on England’s shore The vikings came from Denmark Led by the king Sweyn Forkbeard they rose With their dragon ships they stormed and killed all women and newborns All that defense of England was in vain So the king said „Soldiers, let us kill all the Danes!“ The English king was afraid of the danish men in England, who menaced Feared for his life and throne, so he ordered the death of all Danes on his own On the Saint Bryces Day many vikings were slaughtered, stabbed and burned But the king was not aware of Gunhilde, the sister of Sweyn Forkbeard She and her husband died and the mighty king of vikings was hurt So he took revenge, invaded England and occupied the throne.
