Howling Cries of the Lost Sinner

Alone and depraved I sit here in silence Reveling in disparity As I sit within my cell Confined to these shackles I struggle to hold on To whatever remains Of my very life Within these decrepit walls Voices are heard all around Constantly taunting me Trying to enter my mind It’s now becoming An everyday struggle Keeping their belittling Words from entering my head My time now it seems Is coming close to ending Pain and anguish Are no longer my enemies But they are neither friends But a burden I now carry And the more I fight them The more lost I become
