Something disgusting has been opened to my look: Swelled-up cheeks, in whose pale pulp as if maggots Are swarming in corrugations of the saggy eye skin, They are sparkling by fire in infernal parody of smile. I felt myself as if the world around has Broke to small pieces, smashed by mighty fist Of the rageful feeble-minded unholy god, And by small crumb was showered into my frozen blood. Befogged mind tormented with pain and fear began To see clearly the original hidden sense Under the obvious putrid dissimulation Of this outwardly usual invitation!
