Hiding the Light

Shadows rise as the last flame fades, A distant echo in endless shades. Buried beneath a world so cold, Where secrets lie, and tales grow old. Beneath the weight of sunless skies, A silent cry, where hope once lies. I wander blind, in depths unknown Hiding the light, I am alone. A spark once held, now lost to night, Consumed by dark, without a fight. In silent voids, the whispers die, As dreams dissolve and shadows lie.
