My heart, on borrowed time Falls away, return to grey Clouding up my own thoughts Self-sabotage at my expense Is it worth it anymore Can't tell what's real l Every time, I start to reflect I get this emptiness inside of me The wasn't a single time Where I was at peace Beyond the cold horizon Searching for something To alleviate the suffering Is it a concept I'm holding on to Just to get some sleep tonight And I ponder the religion that I was brought up with But all I find are ramblings from a fractured mind Who really knows what's out there And even with tangible evidence What does it really matter where we go Can you show me A hell much worse than this What does heaven cost if true Cause at I don't think I'd fall into At least not from my perspective I can't just reach you through the past I can't connect with the dead The only heaven that I would attain It's already inside my brain Better days haunt me on a feedback loop
