Fading Memories

frozen under the twilight churning the bowels of your nostalgic presence that lives deep within me burdened by regret I weep, goodbye I've sliced open my arms to watch you pour out of me but even then you'd never leave I roam these desolate streets in hope to find myself silhouettes of you appear in the road I walk ahead don't even call an ambulance as I re-awake you slowly begin to fade into ash each stain of your memory flows into my veins running into my beating chest discharged to wander the empty streets searching for you but you've never returned
