Endless Forest

I walk alone, beneath the bleeding sky Through twisted roots, where shadows lie The trees breathe death, their branches pale Each step I take, another veil Lost among the hollowed trees Where dying stars no longer see Each leaf a tear, each breath a sigh In endless woods, my spirit dies Endless forest, silent tomb An ancient heart, beneath the gloom I search for light, in depths so cold In whispers dark, my fate unfolds Roots descend, they coil like chains, A prison deep, where sorrow reigns Pulled below, into the earth, A grave of dreams, of hollowed worth Into the soil, down I fall Consumed by dark, no voice to call The weight of time, upon my chest In endless dark, I find no rest The soil is cold, yet whispers sound Of ancient souls, in silence bound A shadowed realm, beyond the deep Where all the fallen souls must sleep A thousand voices, weep in pain, Buond to this forest, lost in chains Eternal night, beneath the stone Where all the lost are left alone Endless forest, silent tomb An ancient heart, beneath the gloom I search for light, in depths so cold In whispers dark, my fate unfolds Tine is but ash in the grasp of decay, The beauty of life, stripped and frayed. Leaves fall to rot, dreams turn to dust The end of all things is a fate we must trust. Decay, decay, in shadows deep The forest mourns, the forest weeps. In silent gloom, in endless night, All things wither, without light The bones of trees, in silence lie, Beneath a graveyard of the sky. Roots entwined in death's embrace In endless dark, we all find place In the heart of the forest, black as coal, An ancient power, a writhing soul. Eyes unseen in shaodws stare I feel its breath, I sense its snare Endless forest, breath of night, Swallow me whole, consume the light. In your dark heart, I am bound, In endless roots, forever drowned. A silent pact, with darkness made, To rest in stillness, all fears allayed. For in this night, the forest calls, To join the ancient ones who fall. No dawn shall break, no sun shall rise, Only the forest's endless sighs I close my eyes, my spirit torn, In endless dark, I am reborn
