Dream Alone

I sat and watched the rainfall today, oh how beautiful it was, I smiled and thought about old memories that day from long ago, As I did cry along with the rain while I did, For these sorrowful rainy days are just the tears of this world, Falling from these gloomy skys so blissful so wonderful, I watch it all unfold so sad so lovely, These bittersweet feelings unfold as I let them take me away, So to forget about my problems for it is like a dream, The dreams we can't reach in this life, Beautifully imperfect these people fight for sleep in their unrest, And I wish them nothing but peace, For I too want to dream, For I too feel the pain, For I too want to dream alone.
