Discoloured Skin

Misery cradles my soul Following the trails of blood Deciding my own fate In the end No one will care Once my body is found Despite all my efforts Hope was never found If I was never born I wouldn't have to live to feel this pain This dreadful emptiness Rips apart at my veins I feel so cold I used to pray And now I lie awake Wondering why I must live With such a cold feeling Bleeding on the shower floor The water hides my tears Life leaves me And I feel free in my final moments When my last breath is cut short Let me hang freely As I wither into nothingness Like wilted flowers; I lose colour Look directly into my eyes Just to tell me I was never made for this life
