My life reached the last chapter And they buried me With a book in my hands There's eternity now To think on it Eternity to reflect On something small and forgotten An ant in the desert of time A splinter in a redwood forest Trying to keep it together And then it ended Like it said in the book But the book wasn't right About everything Sometimes it helped me build Sometimes it helped me hide Sometimes I'm in the coffin And sometimes I'm holding it Right in my hands The things I hid behind, transcribed I did all the things it said But not all the things I should These thoughts as I wait Imprisoned here With memories Together Forever In the wake Of an unbalanced life
