Bound to the Shadows for Eternity

Dwelling in the halls where daylight fears to tread Lost in the silence, where hope feels dead Eternal whispers echo through my hollowed veins The pulse of the living taunts, a haunting refrain Forsaken by the sun and writhing in muted pain Chained to the darkness I’m forever to remain Feasting on the shadows, drowning in remorse Eternally imprisoned without a guiding force Once I lived with mortals, tasted laughter's fate, But cursed by longing’s grip, I suffer in lonely hate. Blackened dreams unfold, like ashes in the wind, Yearning for a heartbeat, the warmth, the light within.
