A toxic line of venom Moving from vein to vein Blood pooling Seeping out, all directions A contant flow of martyrdom That turns you old if you let it And you become one too A little at a time Consumed by the rambling As you dance to poison poetry Months and years Entranced in complaints And you chase them around Until they blossom In self-pity You were snared in the web Of another Jesus Who sacrificed for you Who gives everything to you Who loves you Who ruined you For all-time And now you'll make another one Without even realizing You are bleeding
