Beastward

I’ve lost my way, can’t find my path, Lost in a sea of loveless lust Of songs and voices calling out from every direction. Beastward to the end of the earth To the starless void deep in my heart To err is to animal, Wickedness is beastly not human Beastward, to the death of my soul What’s in the heart will reveal itself An animal within will Manifest now you have no hiding place to dwell Now dark forests become my abode Like a wolf I now dwell ravenous for blood One step Beastward, now I’m spiraling backwards One step forward, two steps back Where is the path? Where do I go when I have nowhere to run to? Wandering to and fro, searching for the next lamb to devour Turned and tossed by the wind like a wave in the sea So is a man who lives compulsively Like a vapor in the air, a cloud in the sky, He is here then gone How will you live your life? It’s a wretched existence, always hungry always feeding Gorging on the blood of innocents like a glutton Feeling emptier every moment. So is he who chases after vain and selfish things He is like one who chases the wind. The more you try to fill yourself, caring not who you harm, the greater the torment thou shalt bear. Will you be as he? Chasing after the wind Will you turn and flee? To the loving arms that are waiting? Harken my plea! Don’t do as me! The highly esteemed are the greatest beasts, Moving ever Beastward, learning to hide their heart Some are harder to see than others But until you enter in, you are all beasts in rags Come to me, I’ll adorn you in blood Believe and be made white as snow
