Awake Yet Dreaming

The sky tore apart... the rain came down and burnt the stars the fires rose, like a rose to the sun, waiting for heaven, whilst hell had come the dogs tore through the flesh, the floods had taken their toll on my breath my eyes, had filled with wild desire, the memories of nights... falling it all comes down to the scarred remains, where an open eye can cast the blame on the one true thing that rules us all, on the one true thing that mekes us crawl i'm awake, i am dreaming... i'm awake, i am dreaming in the dead of night, where we all lose sight and we stumble arounf, blind leading blind when the burning flames, rise far too high its the setting of the sun, its the feelings that are numb i am awake yet dreaming, soaring through the solar, screaming catching stars as i catch my breath, caving in with startling depth it all adds up to the Gods above, that fill our fear and taint our love where the poison gags our lustful eyes, where the poison kills but never dies i'm alive, yet crying... the moment i was born i started dying when the sunset breaks, it flashes through your thoughts like an icy blade, where it cuts right through and leaves its stains where the tear tracks play out their refrain... like an icy blade the memories of nights... falling
