Walking through repetitive nightmares The dark clouds gather, then dissipate As the months turn into years The nostalgia too painful to bother remembering As life’s essence is drained deep from within Always head in the clouds, the chance to dream (or scream) Dream the pain away in a maladaptive kaleidoscope of dreary colours I’m still waiting I’m still in pain Ruminating this nightmare I walk with the wandering lost souls As I gaze into the dark clouds further above The sky is falling Forever falling It always reminds me… As a leaf that floats away Please don’t fade The realisation of a distant memory, too much to bare. Never to fall Never to fall again
