An Empire Laid to Ash

From the shadows, a tyrant's hand crushes the seed, As our homeland wilts, broken souls bleed. Once a realm of legends, now shrouded in dust, A graveyard of dreams, betrayed by unjust. Chaining the rivers that once danced in the night, Silencing whispers of the ancients lost in the fight. Oceans of sorrow drown the echoes of pride, We scream at the heavens but our voices subside. Iron-clad shadows loom over the past, While the sun is devoured, our hope fades so fast. Existence becomes ashes where our history reigned, In the labyrinth of despair, all joy is constrained. Bridges to the stars burn in flames of deceit, Forging an empire on the graves of the meek. Earthly souls weep for the lands that thrive no more, With every fallen tear, the darkness will roar. Destruction's embrace tightens like chains on our soul, As we trudge through the ruins, forsaken and cold. Yet in the depths of this void, a flicker remains, For every darkened heart still carries the flames.
