Along with You, Left All My Strength

Many years ago you said to me "when you hit your lowest point those who truly love you will stay and help pick up the pieces" but what happens when I'm all that's left? I'm asking because even you went beyond my reach through the tears that frozen on my coldest days I watched you fade like you never even existed now that everyone has left I guess I have to pick up the pieces myself? but what if I don't have the strength left in me? maybe this is all I'll ever be I've put in the effort, I tried reaching out I went into therapy I grew out of my shell but nothing really helped and now I'm alone and closing in on myself isolation feels more comforting than the gentle lies everyone used to say and still, here I am... waiting for you to return even though I know you never will in order to live your life with a new beginning like all the rest, you had to cut me out and left me in the dark... even though I can't say I blame you I just never expected it from you not like this, not ever like this I've finally let my guard down after all these years and I've let you in after all this time just for you to walk away as if it was nothing at all...
